Spending time with individuals on their ILPs progress, I felt good about it and they seemed to enjoy the individual attention.I can see the power of the ILP process. It gave time to check progress and connect with individuals in a deeper way. Using it to also discuss the portfolio building process was a good feeling.This is going to help me to plan more ILP time into sessions.It will also help me to think more about personalising the learner's experience. Need to look more deeply at the RAPA process. It's really theory into practice!
I'm still having trouble with names. I feel really uncomfortable about it. I know my students visually but occasionally the name is just not there.People need to feel that I see them as valuable individuals. I need to confidently connect e-mailed work to faces.Accept the name thing is part of my dyslexia. Find strategies from my network. Work on adding notes of names to a private version of the class photo?
Having a catch-up session worked well. There was that lovely working buzz of a happy classroom. Lots of collaboration.The group are firmly bonded. Not sure if it connects with my teaching/facilitation methods or if it's just the dynamics of this group.They see themselves as a unit who will all pass together.Watch, do more observations of class dynamics. Improve my knowledge base in this area.
