Essay title -
- Positive behaviour management and pupil behaviour
Using the notes from handouts from sessions 22 & 23 plus your own research and learning journal.
- Outline the basic principles of positive behaviour management
- Explain how behaviour can be affected by age, stage of development and external factors
- Give examples of two incidents that could happen and how to diffuse them
- Explain the limits of using rewards and sanctions - particularly in your setting.
- Include a copy of an IBP (individual behaviour plan) for one student and explain how it is used.

Observations
Two pupil observations - dated and signed by the class teacher as accurate accounts.
Write notes on two occasions when you have observed that appropriate strategies have been used to help pupils express their feelings and respond to incidents in a calm reassuring manner. Include notes on the pupil's stage of development and any relevant external factors.
Pupils names must not be included.
