Forum
Andy and Linda at London Theatre Breaks like nothing better than when one of our blog posts generates some interesting discussion from which we can all learn something. So we are intending to host a lively forum where anybody can initiate a topic as well as responding, that can cope a little bit better with conversations than blog comments. We’ve not yet decided exactly where and in which format the London theatre forum will be, but in the meantime here are some places where you can jump in and have a say.

Watch out for these crooked ticket touts selling show tickets at
London’s Leicester Square. They operate at a shelter of the Criterion
Theatre with banners. Their location is marked
with a blue X at http://members.shaw.ca/Mr.beano/londontickettouts/map.jpg. I also took a picture of their outlet. You can see this at http://members.shaw.ca/Mr.beano/londontickettouts/shop.jpg.
These crooks ripped me off 7 tickets at 40 GBP each to Lion King 2
weeks ago. One smooth talking salesman was a short white guy with
greying hair. He was wearing a fancy hat too at that time. Told me
they were great centre row seats in the middle circle for a Sunday
matinee, when in fact they the 2nd last row of the uppermost circle!
He carefully covered the price of the tickets which were only 23 GBP
and distracted us with his smooth talk while sealing them in an
envelope as if he was being a kind soul and protecting them for us. Effectively he stole nearly 120 GBP from me!
