Here’s a colourful classroom display using the children’s explorations of materials. I really like the use of the blue background on this. It shows the weaving up very clearly. Some of the of the lettering doesn’t work so well though. I can see that it was meant to use different materials for each letter it just didn’t quite come off in the photo. It works much better on the classroom wall.

This is a hall display rather than a classroom one and was done by yr5 last year as part of their work for the Telling into Writing project. I think it’s real strength is that it is so clearly the children’s own work.Telling into Writing project. Click the link for details and resources
