[...] This week, my goal is to create a welcoming, comfy, kid-friendly, well-cataloged classroom library. I have been lucky enough to inherit piles of books as well as given donations (which I’m still taking so please keep me in mind for any books you want to give away). I did a lot of online research to see how other teachers have organized their libraries. This website really helped me as did this blog.
Thank you for your kind comments on my Interactive Bulletin Boards page and for allowing me to use your photo of Pirate Pete's Place Value.

I hope that you don't mind that I have added an RSS Feed connecting this blog to my webpage: <a href="http://www.squidoo.com/bulletinboards/" rel="nofollow">Interactive Bulletin Boards</a>.

I absolutely love your site. I get a lot of ideas from it!
I love useful teaching sites, that's why I select only the best links for publishing them on my site.

Your blog is on my current news at my website right now.
I hope that's ok with you.

Congrats again!

Hello. Nice blog and pictures. Very informative. I'm inspired to have regular group displays for my kids, too. If you ever come around to the Philippines, look us up.

Cheers,

Hi Lynn,
Tricky question. I use some old wooden ones that I've had for about 20 years :-) Here are a few ideas:
For wooden ones:
Search ebay for starters - wooden letters last forever so people do sell them off.
Buy some online - try<a href="http://www.brightideasteaching.co.uk/epages/Store2.sf/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Store2.Shop1767/Categories/%22Letters%20and%20Templates%22/%22Wooden%20Templates%22" rel="nofollow">Bright Ideas </a>
Your school should be able to order them through one of the catalogues if you are in the UK.
Ask other teachers - they often have a set tucked away.
If you are buying try to get the Sassoon font. It always looks good on displays.
Alternatively - make a set of your own and laminate them. Find a font you like, print it out at the right size then photocopy onto card. Cut them out and to ensure long life, laminate. I've got a pdf somewhere... I'll put it online and link to here in the next week or so..
Finally consider using printed titles instead. Faster, easier and often looks neater.
