Little Bit About the Classroom Displays Blog
The blog has been created to explore and celebrate the use of displays in classrooms all over the world. As well as sharing ideas and best practice I hope that by looking at, commenting on and tagging each other’s displays we can investigate what works and doesn’t work in the classroom and explore some of the reasons.
You can listen to a podcast with David Noble (Booruch) where I explain all this in more detail.

Thank you very much for sharing your blog Linda and thank you to everyone who has contributed to such a wonderful resource. I have recently started a blog for trainee teachers in London where I share my expertise in ICT. My last session is based on the relevance of Web 2.0 technology in the classroom. It was completely new to them and its potential. I am also going to start researching for my dissertation on the same theme too.
I am going to link your site to my blog so that these trainees know about this blog too.
My blog is at http://ictforteachers.edublogs.org/ Please come over everyone and see if it could be useful to you or anyone else you know.
Regards
Diane Reynolds-Primary School Teacher, ICT Coordinator, Hackney,London.

Hi Diane,
and I look forward to seeing more about your work with trainee teachers. I’m doing some TA training at the moment and putting resources online too at Usefulwiki
I’m glad you like the blog and that you are going to link to it. How about joining the Flickr group?
Your blog has some good resources
If you are only in Hackney perhaps we should get together some time as I live in London now.

Hi Lynn,
Here are a few ideas:
Tricky question. I use some old wooden ones that I’ve had for about 20 years
For wooden ones:
Search ebay for starters – wooden letters last forever so people do sell them off.
Buy some online – tryBright Ideas
Your school should be able to order them through one of the catalogues if you are in the UK.
Ask other teachers – they often have a set tucked away.
If you are buying try to get the Sassoon font. It always looks good on displays.
Alternatively – make a set of your own and laminate them. Find a font you like, print it out at the right size then photocopy onto card. Cut them out and to ensure long life, laminate. I’ve got a pdf somewhere… I’ll put it online and link to here in the next week or so..
Finally consider using printed titles instead. Faster, easier and often looks neater.

Hello. Nice blog and pictures. Very informative. I’m inspired to have regular group displays for my kids, too. If you ever come around to the Philippines, look us up.
Cheers,

Hi,
I absolutely love your site. I get a lot of ideas from it!
I love useful teaching sites, that’s why I select only the best links for publishing them on my site.
Your blog is on my current news at my website right now.
I hope that’s ok with you.
Congrats again!
